I’m Raquel «Evil Raychel» Pajares.
Live broadcast producer and an esports passionate.
I started helping amateur organisations to broadcast their games and competitions online as a hobby in May 2022 and I did not stop since then. Then, a few months later, I founded my own non-profit organization where I organised various esports amateur tournaments for clubs and people to join and enjoy. This gave me a place to practice and develope my skills as a broadcast producer and motivated me to keep working on it to pursue my goals no matter what.
Now here I am with my never ending thirst for knowledge looking for more and better ways to do what I am passionate about as I believe there is always room to improve and deliver my best!

MY MOST PERSONAL PROJECT
I can’t share my story without mentioning that I lead a non-profit organization dedicated to esports competitions. In September 2022, my sister and I took the initiative to contribute to the world of amateur competitions in Spain by launching Somos Universe. This project has evolved into a space where one can enjoy competition in a respectful and fun environment.

I discovered League of Legends in November 2013, and I couldn't stop playing it. It really had me hooked!

My Life as a Hotel Receptionist
For four years, I worked as a hotel receptionist, an experience I consider wonderful. However, I found a dissonance in this job: the inability to express my authenticity. While I greatly enjoy customer service, it was painful not being able to get tattoos, dye my hair in vibrant colors, or share my enthusiasm for video games with my colleagues. This lack of connection made me feel isolated. Despite my love for direct interaction with the public, I came to the conclusion that this sector was not the right fit for me.
First Steps as a Live Broadcast Producer
I lost my job during the pandemic and returned to what has always been my passion: video games. I was offered the opportunity to broadcast matches for a non-profit organization, so I decided to learn and improve in my role.
As I delved deeper into the world of audiovisual production, I continued my daily training and, along with my sister María "Arya" Pajares, we founded our own tournament organization: Universe. We not only use it to broadcast the organization's events but also as a platform for our ongoing growth as professionals in the audiovisual field.
I strongly believe there is always room for improvement and I always look for better ways to do what I do as my goal is to deliver my best everytime.
